Sensovation's Poster wins "BEST POSTER" award
At the occasion of the Advanced Microarray Technology ( AMT ) conference, held in Dublin on May 25th and 26th Sensovation presented a Poster. This poster was awarded by ePosters.net as "BEST POSTER". Title of the poster is: "Comparison of Colorimetric with Fluorescence Detection shown at the Example of a multiplexed Respiratory Virus Assay".

The Poster describes a diagnostic "Array-in-Well" Assay to differentiate different respiratory viruses. The differentiation is based on their serological properties, using a protein microarray on the bottom of the wells of 96-well plates. This assay had originally been developed and validated using fluorescence technology. For the study described in the poster this assay had been transferred to colorimetry, using Sensovation?s CLAIR as detection system.
The poster describes advantages and disadvantages of colorimetric and fluorescence microarrays. The advantages of colorimetric microarrays include (among others): High sensitivity and the use of simple and relatively inexpensive instrumentation. The advantages of fluorescent microarrays include (among others): High dynamic range and the option to use a second color as a reference.
